With so many things on your mind as the date of your road trip approaches, don't forget about these simple safety tips that could make the drive a little easier on you. Work through this checklist to ensure the safest possible times on the road.

  • Pack a new flashlight and several new batteries and store in the glove compartment
  • Bring a tire gauge and when you stop for fuel check the pressure in each tire is correct
  • Bring along a gallon of engine coolant in the event the car overheats
  • A roll of duct table can come in handy, especially in you blow a radiator hose
  • Inspect the spare tire to make sure it is full of air before leaving
  • Pack a small box of assorted tools that can be used to make repairs if needed

Along with all these helpful tools to bring with you, you will also want to pack an extra blanket and bottle water for emergency situations. You can also bring your car to our service center for a pre-road trip checkup before you set out.
