You would drive across town if gas was a dollar cheaper? Of course. We don't know anyone who wouldn't pay more for gas. So what about driving more efficiently to save gas? We have some helpful tips and tools to help everyone getting better fuel economy no matter what type of vehicle you drive.
- Use cruise control as much as possible. Maintaining a consistent speed uses less gas than accelerating and decelerating
- No need to punch it. Smooth accelerations uses less fuel
- Regular oil changes. A healthy car will run more efficiently and use less fuel
- Don't speed. Sometimes it may be hard to resist the temptation to fly down the freeway. Going faster requires more fuel
- Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Underinflated tires create more drag which in turn will use more gas to move forward
- No junk in the trunk. Removing extra weight from your car will lighten the load and use less fuel
