We put our car interiors through a lot. We drink coffee and other beverages in our cars, we eat, we wear clothes with runny dyes, we are constantly climbing in and out and sliding our bags in and out... and all of the above can take a toll on interior fabrics. Luckily, the engineers at Ford are staining and scratching their way to better interiors, as a recent FordSocial piece describes.
"There are teams at Ford who put the interior materials through a rigorous battery of tests. The goal? To keep the inside of your Ford looking as sharp as it can, for as long as possible. Life happens. Things get spilled. Stuff gets messy. Nobody knows that better than these engineers....As a result, many of the tests they conduct are inspired by their own experiences, drawn from their daily lives."
