On July 6th, Lamborghini inaugurated trigeneration and district heating systems that are projected to save approximately 1,800 tons of CO2 per year. As such, DNV GL (Det Norske Veritas Germanischer Lloyd), a global organization focused on protecting the environment via sustainability efforts, has awarded Lamborghini a CO2-neutral certification under the "Carbon Neutrality" program. You can get more information about the new Lamborghini systems here.

Gian Luca Galletti, the Italian Minister of the Environment, Land and Sea, was present at the inauguration. He spoke as follows: "Automobili Lamborghini is the perfect example of how business can be done while respecting the environment....Manufacturing in Italy is a synonym for quality and this is essential for our region: we need to think of the environment as a big opportunity for the development of businesses."
