Trade-in Values

We're happy to give you an idea of what we'll be willing to offer you for your trade-in, but we should give you some idea of how we'll get to our number. First of all, our number will almost never be correct before we see your vehicle. We simply can't give you an accurate appraisal without seeing and driving your vehicle.

In order to come to our number, we use a variety of sources. We check to see how your year, make & model is doing in the market, often comparing it to other vehicles we have on the lot. Then we check the local auctions where many pre-owned dealers find vehicles on their lot, and find an average price of the vehicles that match yours. Finally we look at Kelly Blue Book to see what the national market for your vehicle looks like. We encourage you to go to kbb.com and check the value of your vehicle on your own. Keep in mind that you should check for a "trade-in" value rather than a "retail value" as we are not a private buyer. Also very important to note is that the "Excellent" rating that Kelly Blue Book shows is as though the vehicle is still on the showroom floor. It's a quirk of their rating system, but if you think your vehicle is in excellent condition, and you'd like a more accurate valuation of your vehicle, please list the vehicle as "Good".
